Design is a creative arena and as such can often arouse conflicting passions. Remember when the Commonwealth Bank launched its latest logo? Much of the comment was derisory and included the line that the new logo looked like a "Sao dipped in Vegemite".

So when looking for a designer of any kind, always keep in mind that you will have conflicting ideas. However, if you like their portfolio you'll probably like what they do for you too. You just may need to distance yourself a little to be able to appreciate what they've done.
